COURSE OVERVIEW

“Revalidation” (of, e.g. a rating or certificate) means the administrative action taken within the period of validity of a rating or certificate which allows the holder to continue to exercise the privileges of a rating or certificate for a further specified period consequent upon the fulfillment of specified requirements.

“Renewal” (of, e.g. a rating or certificate) means the administrative action taken after a rating or certificate has lapsed for the purpose of renewing the privileges of the rating or certificate for a further specified period consequent upon the fulfillment of specified requirements.

For revalidation of multi-engine type ratings, the applicant shall;

  1. Pass a proficiency check in the relevant type of FSTD representing that type, within the 3 months immediately preceding the expiry date of the rating; and
  2. Complete during the period of validity of the rating, at least:
    a) 10 route sectors as pilot of the relevant type of aeroplane; or
    b) 1 route sector as pilot of the relevant type of aeroplane or FFS, flown with an
    examiner. This route sector may be flown during the proficiency check
  3. A pilot working for a commercial air transport operator approved in accordance with the applicable air operations requirements who have passed the operators proficiency check combined with the proficiency check for the revalidation of the type rating shall be exempted from complying with the requirement in (2).
  4. The revalidation of an IR (A), if held, may be combined with a proficiency check for the revalidation of a type rating.

The aim of the renewal training is to renew of expired previous type rating according to Part-FCL.

The objective of the training is to reach the level of proficiency necessary to safely operate the relevant type of aircraft. The amount of refresher training needed evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the HRS AVIATION TRAINING CENTER as an ATO.

The EASA approved course training programme is performed according to the highest standards of aviation training, using a practical and operationally integrated learning approach with all training carried out using computer-based training tools, Full Flight Simulators (FFS) located on
Sofia/Bulgaria and Istanbul-Antalya/Turkiye. (depends on customer discretion and availability)

Instructors can conduct an assessment before starting the course to ensure that the candidate meets the course requirements criteria so that he or she can complete his training effectively, of quality and within the course period. Those who do not meet these criteria may be subject to withdrawal from the course.

The training course can only begin after the contract is signed and the course fee is paid, provided that all formalities and the pre-course pilot proficiency test by the instructor for the relevant course are positive.

COURSE CONTENT

We conduct Renewal/Revalidation Training Courses for;

  • Airbus A320 Family
  • Airbus A330
  • Boeing 737-300/900 and Boeing 737-8 (Max)

Ground course: 29 hours of theoretical training (CBT). (5 working days)

Practical training: min *8 hours (4 hours check included), max *16 (4 hours check included)

* Changes according to your Type Rating Expiry date Lapsed. The period of validity of type ratings is 1 year.

PREREQUISITES / REQUIREMENTS

Applicants shall have the following requirements:

Previously qualified on the relevant type and type rating expiry date lapsed shorter than 36 months.

Medical: Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate

License: Valid EASA CPL (ATPL theory) or ATPL (Valid ICAO license for non-EASA license holders);

Proficiency: English Language ICAO Level 4 (minimum)
